Ramponis l'ha compilato, ma il firmware si pu? utilizzare con qualsiasi modalit?. Io uso la configurazione da repeater senza WDS, e mi funziona alla grande.

Avevo risposto forse in modo ambiguo. Quindi:
"Pinghi" il pc dalla fonera? io avevo lo stesso problema ed era la la maschera di rete sulla Fonera. Se non la impostavo (/24) mi si settava naturalmente a /32 e quindi non vedevo il pc. La tua come ? impostata?

ma a qualcuno openwrt risulta stabile? non capisco perche in un link di 40 metri la linea e ballerina piu che ballerina stacca e attacca in continuazione e voi invece ? stabilissima addirittura con link di un km. Non riesco prorpio a capire, ce qualche intruglio che fornite al fonera per migliorarne le prestazioni??

Super stabile!!! Link da 1 km e va perfettamente. 7.09 con settaggio postato da Max. Come il tuo se ho ben capito. Ho avuto qualche inspiegabile problema all'inizio, poi resettando la fonera client ? andato tutto ok.

ragazzi, secondo la fonera con openwrt (x-wrt) pu? fare da client wireless di un qualsiasi access point?
in pratica ho comprato una specie di video sender.
doveva fare anche da client wireless ma dopo averlo comprato ho scoperto che funziona solo come access point.
il problema ? che devo installare pc e projector server a distanza di un km, per cui pensavo di mettere da un lato l'apparecchio antenna a pannello e dall'altro una fonera con antenna uguale.
per? non riesco a configurare la fonera in modo che sia lei a far da client wireless di quest'affare (che invece fa da AP).
secondo voi si pu? fare? come?

nessuna idea???
io ho fatto dei test ma non riesco proprio a settare la fonera come client di questo trabicolo...
...confido ancora nei vostri suggerimenti!

Ciao a tutti ,
sono nuovo del mondo WRT e come tale ho i primi problemi.
Appena mi ? arrivata sono riuscito ad installare il tutto con AP51 flashando tranquillamente la fonera con DD-WRT.
Dato che poi da quello che ho potuto leggere nei forum ho visto che openWrt ? nettamente pi? stabile
vorrei passare a questo.
Di conseguenza leggendo sempre questo post ho trovato la seguente guida

Installato X-wrt su fonera 2200 con AP51    smiley
impiegato meno di 20 minuti.

questo ? il file caricato in rootfs:

non spuntare le opzioni create nvram ecc.
selezionare la scheda di rete
cliccare su GO
quando compare la scritta: no packet
dare alimentazione alla fonera
5/10 minuti , ap51 termina la sessione e si chiude automaticamente.
attendere ulteriori 10 minuti e poi dal browser al 192.168.1.1 si trova il sospirato kamikaze.

L'ho applicata alla lettera ha finito il tutto ma quando si riavvia sembra funzionare ma effettivamente non va.
Premetto che ho una fonera 2201 e che con ddwrt tutto ok.
Mentre con openWRT appunto niente.
Dopo di che ho attacca alla seriale per vedere che messaggi mi dava e quindi di conseguenza li posto qui.
In cosa posso aver sbagliato?...c'? un altra procedura da seguire?

forse mi sono espresso male...volevo dire che da seriale vedevo che caricava ed ero convinto che tutto fosse andato bene
ma poi ho avuto l'amara sorpresa che mi si blocca sulla schermata che ho postato nel precedente post.
Quindi niete fonera...non funge assoltamente.
In cosa ho potuto sbagliare?....non ? che per la fonera plus 2201 la procedura ? diversa?

e se batti "invio" a quel punto va avanti? con la seriale con la 2200 e 2001 certe volte vedevo come te, poi con un invio completava. Mi spiace ma non ho mai usato la fonera plus 2201.

Beh fra un p? vado a casa e faccio una prova per vedere se va con invio..
Dato che DD-WRT mi funziona...che dici..conviene lasciarci questo o no va proprio bene?
Alla fine io dovrei fare un link di circa 300/400m quindi penso che da quello che ho trovato in giro dovrebbe andare bene

A quel che so hanno risolto il bug che lo affliggeva sulle lunghe distanze. Credo comunque che la fonera plus abbia qualche problema con openwrt. Guarda: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/LaFonera_Hardware_LaFoneraPlus anche se ? relativo al 7.07
